This policy explains what personal data is handled when you visit this portfolio, use its optional features, or contact Dwij Kansagara.
1. Data handled by this site

| View and appreciation counters | Each page load adds one aggregate view without saving a persistent visitor identifier. If you press the appreciation control, the browser creates a random identifier for that site and saves it in local storage so the site can remember your progress and enforce the 20-press limit. The server stores only salted one-way identifiers, the site name, reaction total, short-lived rate-limit records, and timestamps. It does not use the values for advertising or cross-site profiling. The same counter service supports Dwij's Portfolio, About, JARVIS, LUMINA and Doomsday sites. |

2. Data not collected for marketing
This portfolio has no user accounts, advertising pixels, analytics service, newsletter form, payment form, review system, or behavioural tracking. The displayed visit and appreciation totals are the limited counters described above. It does not sell or rent personal data.
3. Why data is handled
- To deliver and secure the website.
- To remember a display preference selected on your device.
- To show aggregate view totals and, after you interact, enforce the limit of 20 appreciation presses per browser and site.
- To respond when you voluntarily send an email.
- To provide features that you explicitly request, such as distance calculation or the optional on-device assistant.
4. Sharing and processors
Website request data may be handled by AntiDeploy as part of site delivery and security. Counter requests and records are handled by Vercel and Neon for API hosting and persistent database storage. Email is handled by the sender's email provider and Dwij's email provider. Hugging Face and GitHub receive network requests only if you enable the optional model download or follow an external link. Instagram and GitHub receive a request only when you follow their links.
5. Retention
The site itself does not keep contact-form submissions or location data. Salted reaction identifiers and their totals remain while the counters operate so appreciation progress and the 20-press limit work; they are deleted if the counter service is retired or reset. Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to reply, manage the conversation, or meet a legal obligation, and is normally deleted within 12 months after the conversation ends. Theme and appreciation preferences remain on your device until you clear site data. The assistant conversation remains in page memory until it is cleared, the assistant is closed, or the page is reloaded.
6. Your choices and rights
You can refuse location permission, avoid enabling the assistant, clear local site data in your browser, and choose not to send the email draft. Clearing this site's local storage resets its remembered appreciation progress. A browser Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal prevents the automatic view record; pressing the appreciation control remains an explicit request to save that reaction. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, updating, or erasure of personal data held in email correspondence, withdraw consent, or raise a grievance by emailing work.dwijkansagara@gmail.com.
7. India privacy law
This policy is written to support clear notice, purpose limitation, data minimisation, consent, access, correction, erasure, and grievance handling under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules as they come into force. Requests will be handled according to the law that applies at the time.
8. Children
This general portfolio is not designed to collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent personal data by email, contact Dwij so it can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
9. Security and external links
Reasonable steps are used to minimise collection and protect the site, but no internet transmission or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. External sites have their own privacy practices.
10. Changes and complaints
